Sharks Basketball Returns March 2026

Free tickets and free popcorn are back at Canyon Crest this March! Catch new foes and old rivals in action as the Sharks look to build on their 10 game home winning streak! The Sharks, established in 2022, are San Diego’s home for pro basketball fun for all ages. The Sharks are competing to bring a USBL Championship home to San Diego.

Calling all young athletes! The San Diego Sharks are excited to host a FREE Basketball Skills Clinic for kids in 3rd grade through Junior High. This is your child’s chance to hit the court with real San Diego Sharks players and learn from the pros!

San Diego Sharks Foundation

The non-profit San Diego Sharks Foundation makes basketball accessible for everyone in San Diego, giving away thousands of free Sharks tickets each season and producing free kids basketball clinics around San Diego County.

Our Story

The San Diego Sharks have been bringing an exciting brand of basketball to San Diego since their inaugural pro season in 2022. Founded by former player and local business owner Tyler Sickmeyer, the Sharks bring a fans-first approach to the San Diego community. The Sharks play at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego.

The Sharks have reached the playoffs in each of their first four seasons under the leadership of General Manager and Head Coach Brandon Cheeks. Each season has brought an improved record, improved fan experience, and increased attendance, with the Sharks drawing the most fans on the west coast in back to back seasons. The Sharks are a founding team in the relaunch of the USBL, the nation's premier league for emerging basketball talent.

The inaugural season for the relaunched USBL - and the Sharks' 5th season overall - tips off in early March with free tickets and free popcorn for fans of all ages!
