After a tough loss on the road in Long Beach that saw Center Kameron Rooks injure his knee and Power Forward Marcus Bell ejected and later suspended after an in-game altercation, the shorthanded Sharks rebounded at home in a big way with a 2 point win at the buzzer over a resurgent Bakersfield team.

The Sharks were down 12 with five minutes to go in the third quarter, but a late-quarter run sparked by Sharks guard KJ Houston and Forward Zion Shepherd helped pull the Sharks within 1 heading into the 4th.Then it was the Trace Dimeff show as the Sharks rookie poured in 33 points overall and made several clutch shots down the stretch.Forward Justin Hawkins contributed several key rebounds late as the Sharks put together enough stops to hold on and win a tough one at home.

The Sharks look to build on their fourth quarter momentum this week as they travel to Bakersfield Friday night before returning home for Military Appreciation Night on Saturday at Mira Mesa High School for their first game of the season against the West Coast Breeze.Get your free tickets for Saturday night’s home game now!
