Your San Diego Sharks are back and primed for our best season ever! The Sharks are looking to build on our third playoff appearance in three years of competition since launching in 2022.
Your 2025 San Diego Sharks aren’t just going to be better- they’re going to be much, much bigger. The Sharks have signed 7’1″ Center Kameron Rooks, a former SDSU Aztec standout who most recently was guarding the likes of Demarcus Cousins and Dwight Howard overseas. Rooks brings the Sharks the best rim protection we’ve had, and he’s not coming by himself.
The Sharks have also signed 2024 TBL Defensive Player of the Year, 2024 TBL Leading Rebounder, and 2024 TBL All-Star Marcus Bell for the 2025 season! Bell just returned from a dominating tour in China and, after causing havoc opposing the Sharks as a member of the LA Ignite in 2024, is teaming up with Rooks to form what is arguably the league’s most dominating frontcourt in 2025.
Other notable additions include perennial San Diego Swish star Trace Dimeff and former overseas stars Justin Hawkins (Syria) and Javon Nutter (Armenia). San Diego natives Khor Tut (City College), Jahloni Mitchell (Union College), and ABA standouts TJ Jackson and Keith Houson also look to make a significant impact for the Sharks this year.
For the first time ever, the Sharks landed a top 5 pick in the 2025 TBL draft and added rookie Josiah Wilson to the mix as well. Currently nursing an ankle injury, Wilson brings a mix of efficient scoring and athleticism to the team and will be a key contributor once healthy.
The Sharks are also returning several key members of the 2024 team, including 4th year Shark, team captain,  and San Diego native Deion Davis, high-flying Zion Shepherd, elite scorer Dee Proby, and pick and pop forward Jacob Colton. The Sharks also return guard/forward Kevin Karl, who might make a name for himself as most improved player this season.
The Sharks tip off their 2025 season on the road this Saturday night in Bakersfield before opening up at home Sunday at 5pm at Mira Mesa High School (Get Your Free Tickets Here). Zion Shepherd and Josiah Wilson will open up the season on the injured list, but Head Coach Brandon Cheeks and Assistant Coaches Troy Collier and Jeremiah Ryden will have plenty of talent to work with opening weekend.
Get your free tickets now- we’ll see you on Sunday for the start of an unforgettable Sharks season!
