Tonight the Sharks head to Bakersfield to tip off the 2025 season, but they won’t see many familiar faces from last year’s basement-dwelling 2025 team. The Majestics overhauled their basketball operations for the better, bringing former NBA player Desmon Farmer on board as Head Coach and turning over most of their roster, save for TBL veteran guard Will Adams. Forward Sarion McGee led the Majestics in their opening night loss to Long Beach at home last Saturday, posting 23 points and 12 rebounds in a close loss.
This week the Majestics added 7’2″ center Akeme Smart to their roster. He’ll have his hands full with the Sharks’ twin towers Kameron Rooks (7’1″) and Marcus Bell (6’10”). Look for Head Coach Brandon Cheeks to exploit matchups in a variety of ways with a deep roster on the first night of a back to back. Of course, the Sharks are back home in front of the best fans in the TBL on Sunday at 5pm. If you don’t have your free tickets yet, you can get there here.
The Majestics have the benefit of having a game under their belts already, but the Sharks are coming in hungry to prove that the west runs through San Diego this season. Don’t miss your chance to cheer on the Sharks at home this Sunday night against Long Beach-
